Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Ruangmu (“Ruangmu”, “we”, “us”). They govern your access to and use of our website, the client dashboard, and the embeddable room-visualizer widget (together, the “Service”).
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1.Who may use Ruangmu
The Service is intended for businesses. By creating an account you confirm that you are at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction and that you are authorised to enter into these Terms on behalf of the business you represent.
2.The Service
Ruangmu is a self-serve room visualizer for home and interior product businesses. You upload your product catalog, configure a widget, and embed it on your website or share your visualizer link. Customers can then upload a room photo (or pick a sample room) and see your products previewed in that space using AI.
The Service is designed for products that apply to these supported surfaces: Floor, Ceiling, Wall, Curtain, Rug, and Furniture. Using it for unrelated products or purposes is outside the intended use of the Service.
3.Your account
- You must provide accurate account information and keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
- Notify us promptly at hello@ruangmu.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
- To close or delete your account, contact us at hello@ruangmu.com. We will process verified requests within a reasonable time. What happens to your data after closure is described in our Privacy Policy.
4.Plans, trial, and billing
- New accounts include a free trial (7 days and 50 AI renders). After the trial, continued use of paid features requires a paid plan.
- Each plan includes a monthly allowance of AI renders. We do not silently bill you for going over your allowance — over-quota usage is soft-blocked, and you choose whether to upgrade.
- Paid subscriptions renew for successive periods until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- Fees are exclusive of taxes unless stated otherwise. Refund terms: please refer to our standard refund policy. We may change pricing with prior notice.
5.Your content and the licence you grant us
You retain ownership of the product data, images, logos, and other content you upload (“Your Content”). You grant Ruangmu a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, store, process (including via third-party AI providers), display, and — where needed to enforce these Terms — review, disable, or remove Your Content, solely to operate, protect, and provide the Service.
You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to Your Content and that it does not infringe any third party’s rights.
6.Customers and their photos
Room photos uploaded by customers through your widget are processed to generate previews, as described in our Privacy Policy. If you embed the widget, you are responsible for providing your customers with any privacy notices and obtaining any consents required by law for their use of the widget.
7.AI-generated previews — important
Previews produced by the Service are AI-generated approximations intended for visualization only. They may not accurately depict the actual colour, texture, pattern, scale, lighting, or finish of a product.
Previews are not a substitute for physical samples and should not be relied upon for decisions that require an exact match. Neither you nor Ruangmu warrants the accuracy of any preview, and previews should be presented to customers as approximations.
8.Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Upload content you do not have the rights to, or that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, hateful, deceptive, or otherwise harmful.
- Upload or list products, images, or other content that is sexually explicit, pornographic, violent, or otherwise inappropriate for a professional home-and-interior commerce tool.
- Upload or list products or images that are not a good-faith catalog of items for the supported surfaces (Floor, Ceiling, Wall, Curtain, Rug, Furniture), or that are unrelated spam, junk, or an attempt to use the Service for a different purpose.
- Use the Service to mislead customers or misrepresent a product (including its appearance, material, or suitability).
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt, overload, scrape, or circumvent the Service or its AI providers, or exceed rate or usage limits by improper means.
- Resell or provide the Service to third parties except as expressly permitted by your plan.
9.Content review, removal, and enforcement
We may, at our sole discretion and with or without prior notice:
- Review Your Content (including product listings, swatches, logos, and related data).
- Disable, hide, or permanently remove any product, image, or other Content that we reasonably believe violates these Terms, is inappropriate, is outside the intended purpose of the Service, or may harm customers, other clients, our providers, or Ruangmu.
- Limit features, suspend, or permanently terminate your account for the same reasons, or to protect the Service, investigate abuse, or comply with law.
We are not obligated to monitor all Content, but we reserve the right to do so. Removal or suspension does not entitle you to a refund unless required by law or we state otherwise in writing. You remain responsible for Your Content even after it is removed.
10.Intellectual property
Ruangmu and its licensors own the Service, including its software, design, and trademarks. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service. You may use previews of your own products generated by the Service for your legitimate business purposes.
11.Third-party services
The Service relies on third parties, including AI, cloud storage, hosting, email, and payment providers, and may be embedded on third-party website builders. We are not responsible for the availability, performance, or acts of those third parties, and your use of them may be subject to their own terms.
12.Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that previews will be accurate.
13.Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ruangmu will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data, or goodwill. Our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amounts you paid us for the Service in the 3 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
14.Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Ruangmu harmless from claims, damages, and expenses arising out of Your Content, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms or of any law or third-party rights.
15.Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. To close or delete your account, email hello@ruangmu.com from the address on the account (or another method we can reasonably verify). We will process the request within a reasonable time. Cancelling a paid subscription (if any) is separate from full account deletion; tell us if you want both.
We may suspend or terminate your access, in whole or in part, if you breach these Terms (including Acceptable use), if Your Content or use of the Service is inappropriate or outside the Service’s intended purpose, to protect the Service or others, to investigate suspected abuse, or as required by law. We may also remove or disable Content as described under “Content review, removal, and enforcement.”
On termination or account closure, your right to use the Service ends. We may delete or retain account and Content data as described in our Privacy Policy and as needed for legal, security, or operational reasons. Sections that by their nature should survive will survive (including licences already exercised, disclaimers, liability limits, and indemnification).
16.Changes to the Service and these Terms
We may modify the Service and these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
17.Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by applicable laws, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The competent courts will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
